Abstract
Background: The proximal resection margin length after subtotal gastrectomy is still on debate. There is no solid recommendation from international guidelines and there are controversial results of different studies about the impact on survival and recurrence of a R0 resection with margins below the recommendation. The authors pretend to evaluate the impact on prognosis of proximal resection margin after subtotal gastrectomy for distal gastric adenocarcinoma.
