Abstract

Human pronuclear (2PN) stage embryo freezing is currently less frequently performed in many IVF programs with the advent of more efficient techniques, such as vitrification at cleavage and blastocyst stage. However, whenever an old inventory of pronuclear stage frozen embryos comes up for thaw, the prognosis of 2PN thawed embryos becomes an important issue. The objective of this study was to evaluate prognosis of slow growing embryos following pronuclear thaw and transfer at the day three cleavage stage.
