Summary

Introduction

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common malignancy in men above 55 years of age and the fifth leading cause of mortality in men worldwide [1, 2]. Certain modifiable and nonmodifiable risk factors contribute to the progression of PCa [3]. Non-modifiable risk factors include age, ethnicity, and family history [4], whereas modifiable risk factors include obesity, smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus (DM) and dyslipidemia [5]. There are many treatment options for PCa depending on a patient's medical history, diagnosis, age, and current state of health. Keeping in view the above information, It is hypothesized that certain metabolic parameters like dyslipidemia, oxidative stress are significant for early-stage diagnosis of prostate cancer for early treatment
