Abstract
Background: Appearance is more than just having a well-shaped nose, an angular jaw line, or a strong chin. It is the overall look that counts and often this includes the overall look of the profile. There is no point in having a near-perfect nose if the chin is weak or jutting and vice versa. A large nose hump or bump can make an otherwise normal looking chin appear off kilter. Too much or too little of any one of these features can detract from the facial profile. For example, if the nose is a little large, a weak chin or flat cheekbones can make it appear even larger. Add a little more prominence to the cheek and chin and that same nose is suddenly in balance with the face. If you have been unhappy about your overall facial appearance because something is out of balance, it may not be the shape or size of your nose that's causing it. Your chin or cheekbone may need a bit of touching up or down to give you the complete and balanced result you’ve been yearning for.
