Abstract
For the research, the general objective was established, which was to determine the profile of the demand for adventure tourism in Ecuador, the research approach is mixed, the methodology that was applied was the market study with simple random sampling, applying 385 forms of 22 questions, the study resulted in the profile of adventure tourism, characterized by the choice of the destinations they choose are from the Andean Region and the Amazon, they have preference in adventure modalities on land such as hiking, in water recreational activities, motorized boats. and air activities with paragliding. The frequency of visits is 1 to 2 times, they are informed through social networks, in the development of adventure activities, accessibility measures such as exclusive bathroom areas for people with disabilities have been prioritized. For the development of adventure activities they opt for equipment brands such as Petzl, Black Diamond and in relation to clothing to develop adventure activities they prefer brands such as Columbia, Adidas, they opt for attributes such as quality. Finally, the development of the Adventure Tourism Plan is prioritized, thereby aiming to improve economic income for the communities.
