Abstract
This essay deals with the technological and organisational themes in the current development of RMIT(Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) Libraries. It describes the group of activities called the RMIT Telelibrary, and shows how this relates to a structural model that seeks to optimise the effectiveness of current developments in information technology for the university's educational and research programs.
