Abstract

This research aims to find out the profile assessment of student’s critical thinking skills in basic chemical law materials using problem-solving learning models. Assessing critical thinking skills is carried out in Senior High School 2 Sleman on the academic year of 2017/2018. Retrieval of data in this research using test and non-test techniques. The test technique is in the form of an essay question about critical thinking skills, while the non-test technique is in the form of observation sheets of critical thinking skills. The assessment of critical thinking skills consisted of three aspects, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating. The result of this research showed that in the analysis aspect the average score 106,5 with very good criteria; in the aspect of interpretation the 96,5 with good criteria; and aspect of evaluating 98 with good criteria.
