Abstract

Abstract Heiji Kawai graduated from the Department of Physics, University of Tokyo in 1933. He spent most of his life as a scientist and a research director at the Kobayashi Institute of Physical Research. The major fields of his research were piezoelectric materials, acoustics and vibration. He received the degree of Doctor of Science for his work on the piezoelectric properties of Rochelle Salt crystals.
