Abstract
ABSTRACT Advanced integrated management systems are playing a decisive role in Industry 4.0. Therefore, it is important to understand the influence and effects of knowledge management (KM) and professionalization (PR) on their development. This research aims to propose that PR and KM help firms adopt and implement enterprise resource planning (ERPs) and business intelligence (BI) systems. The study uses PLS-SEM to analyse a sample of 120 firms collected through an electronic instrument focused on decision-makers in the manufacturing industry of Coahuila, Mexico. The results show that KM and PR positively affect ERP and BI systems and that ERPs partially mediate PR, KM, and BI systems.
