Abstract

The experience of further training of top managers and other professionals of Belarus libraries in the area of “Software support of automated library and information systems” and awarding the qualification of software engineer is discussed. The academic disciplines within this new qualification are listed; links to official documents, namely, The Educational Standard and Sample Academic Plan for retraining in this area is given.
