Abstract
This paper explains the correct and professional way in which surveyors should undertake the role of an appointed surveyor under the Party Wall etc Act 1996. It explains the statutory framework within which the surveyors operate and the proper and practical way they should liaise with other appointed surveyors and advise their Appointing Owner on matters both within and without the scope of the Party Wall etc Act 1996.
