Abstract
SEG has launched a new venture in online continuing education in geophysics. It is a new style of online education, one designed specifically to help our members around the world, at all levels of preparation. We call it the Computer Tutor. We are, respectively, the chair of the Continuing Education Committee and the eLearning professional development advisor. We recently discussed the concept with Leon Thomsen, the developer of the first course, in what we hope will eventually become a full curriculum in geophysics.
