Abstract

The modern assessment of the quality of medical care is mainly based on the patients' assessment of organizational factors: the waiting time for a doctor's appointment, the timeliness of examinations, the receipt of consultations by specialists, etc. This study examines the role of professional communication skills of medical staff in patient satisfaction with medical care. It was found that patients who are highly satisfied with medical care rate the presence of professional communication skills in medical staff significantly higher.
