Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of burnout and its impact on teachers and their work. Although burnout has been increasingly receiving more attention in the scientific field, it is a matter of great importance to many different professions. It is a well-known fact that burnout is strongly present in a profession of high societal importance, such as teaching. For this reason, burnout among school teachers is a relevant problem and is taking an important place in scientific research regarding the efficacy of teachers' work. The main effects of professional burnout on the psychological well-being of teachers have also been outlined in this article.
