Abstract
The work is devoted to one of the priority tasks in the modern system of Russian vocational education – the formation of professionally important qualities in future specialists. The author addresses the topical problem of the theory and practice of pedagogic psychology – the professional and personal formation of a college student – and it substantiates the idea that in modern conditions, it is impossible to face this challenge without scientifically based psychological and pedagogic knowledge about it as a reliable subject of the educational process. In the article, the author relies on the developed theoretical model of mental reliability of the individual. The article presents the results of factor analysis aiming at possibility of identifying the three factors in the structure of professional and personal reliability of college students, of description of their component composition. The article describes the indicators of mental reliability of the personality of college students and their reliability in educational and professional activities. The article substantiates the idea that the organisation of psychological and pedagogic support of college students aimed at the development of mental professional and personal reliability should be based on knowledge of micro-, macro- and metapsychological determinants of this characteristic of their personality.
