Prof. Dr. Sherif Shaheen: a Bibliometric Study of Intellectual Output

Abstract

The study seeks to monitor and analyze the features or characteristics of the intellectual output of Dr. Sherif Shaheen using the bibliometric approach. Sherif Shaheen prepared 142 items issued from 1989 to 2022 and while his intellectual output increased over time, it peaked in the second decade of the twenty-first century (2010-2019).. The intellectual work was split roughly evenly between conferences studies (42.96%), periodical articles (38.03%), books (14.08%), and chapters or parts of books (4.93%), with 93% of it being written in Arabic and only 7% in English. The intellectual output was published in 13 countries, Egypt ranked first with a rate of 55.6%. The intellectual reading of the intellectual output indicates that the focus of his interest in his intellectual output is technology and the influences that surround, particularly with regard to electronic information sources, dealing with information activities from technological activities from a technological angle, and interest in the knowledge integration of intellectual heritage institutions.
