Abstract

An experiment was carried out in the Research Experimental Farm of APTA - Polo Regional do Vale do Ribeira, with the objective of evaluate tomato seedling production in floating systems using water from fish ponds and water with soluble fertilizers. The experimental design was completely randomized with four repetitions. The treatments were: T1 (control) conventional system in suspended trays support with irrigation by sprinkling; T2 - suspended trays in a tank with water from artesian well; T3 - suspended trays in a tank with water with 1g L-1 of 10-30-20 soluble fertilizer; T4 - suspended trays in tank with water from fish pond feed ration; T5- suspended trays in a tank with water from fish pond with organic fertilization. The observed parameters were: plant height, root fresh weight, dry shoot weight and dry root weight. Under the conditions of this experiment the results indicate that floating systems using water with chemical fertilization and using water from fish ponds are viable alternatives for seedling production.
