Abstract
Now we had a period of ecological transition, in search of a new development model, the importance of implementation of new models aimed at preserving the environment by reducing production costs, increased income and especially the supply of products with high nutritional quality, is the project that offers Integrated Agroecological Production and Sustainable (PAIS), based on the principles of agroecology, the project has been implemented in Brazil. SOCIAL technologies arise from simple initiatives, demonstrating the locations where they are employed, unifying knowledge constructed through the mediation of the dialogue between communities and scientific knowledge. The present work aims to show the potential of this project for the sustainable development of small farmers, and provide health and quality of life. This practice was also experienced by children of the Municipal School Gustavo Adolfo Candido Alves in Campina Grande, Paraiba. For lack of incentives and technical support that practice was abolished. Key words: agroecology, PAIS project, sustainability.
