Abstract

In order to determine the key processes of complex manufacturing process and provide effective guidance for production quality and reliability management, a manufacturing process importance analysis method for production quality management was proposed. Firstly, the influence factors were analyzed and concluded into three aspects, which included the influence degree between process nodes, the risk level of the process nodes and the output quality of the process nodes. Secondly, the importance index evaluation system was built based on the indicators of process effects, risk factor and the process capability, whose quantitative methods were proposed respectively. Thirdly, the comprehensive importance index which integrated the authority of expert and the consistency of opinion was proposed based on the triangular fuzzy number. Finally, a case study of 6Cr3Mo nitride steel piston ring manufacturing process was presented to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.
