Abstract

This paper presents a method for production process control for aero engine part manufacturing based on product quality problem identification and statistical process control. A framework is provided. The control flow of the method is developed. The proposed method applies single value moving range control chart to monitor the production process of aero engine parts. An application case is provided. The results of the case study indicate the quality improvement of the products produced. The research can provide a reference for companies in aviation industry in China to apply control charts to monitor and control production processes for product quality improvement.
