Abstract
TiO 2 and high-temperature phase WO 3 ultra-fine particles are formed by DC arc discharge in air, Ar–H 2 and Ar–O 2 gases. These crystals are observed by transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope. Anatase type TiO 2 fine particles are formed in air, and rutile-type TiO 2 are formed in Ar–H 2 gas. As-formed particle sizes are 15–50 nm, which have very tiny regular spherical shapes. We have also recognized high-temperature phase WO 3, tetragonal.
