Abstract

The process of production of nanostructural aluminum oxide-chromium layered composite consisting of alternating ceramic and metal layers based on film slip casting is considered. Realization of a multistage processing chain of the composite production is proposed. Procedures of certification and preparation of initial powders, slip production and thin film casting, and preparation of layered pieces are described. Parameters of the annealing cycle for the binding component of a slip and thermal sintering cycle of layered pieces are presented. The microstructure of layers and interlayer interfaces is studied, and the elemental content and microhardness of layers of the fabricated composite are measured, confirming the right choice of parameters for the processes of the processing chain.
