Abstract

ARRONAX, acronym for "Accelerator for Research in Radiochemistry and Oncology at Nantes Atlantique", is a high energy and high intensity multi-particle cyclotron located in Nantes (France). This machine can accelerate protons from 30 MeV up to 70 MeV, deuterons from 15 MeV up to 35 MeV and alpha particles at a fix 68 MeV. Intensity as high as 750 μAe can be obtained for protons when working on a dual beam mode (2 extracted beam at the same time). ARRONAX has 6 experimental vaults among which four are connected to hot cells through a rabbit system and are devoted to radionuclide production.
