Abstract

The possibilities for the production and application of small-diameter pipes made of titanium alloys in a size range of 20 to 80 mm are considered. An experiment on piercing the billets of commercially pure Grade 2 titanium with further reduction on a screw rolling mill is carried out. Its results, which confirm the possibility of applying this technology for the production of hot-rolled seamless thick-walled pipes made of titanium alloys less than 73 mm in diameter using screw rolling mills, are represented.
