Abstract

Weakly conductive ceramics based on barium aluminate have been synthesized and investigated. When fired in an oxidizing medium monophase ceramics with a maximum compressive strength of 678.5 MPa and a density of 3.78 g/cm3 were obtained. The introduction of conductive additives into the composition makes it possible to increase the specific electrical conductivity of ceramics to 1.05 · 10–4 S/cm (at 300°C).
