Abstract

An analysis of the experimental data on the production of fast deuterons from the interaction of high-energy protons with carbon is made within the framework of the impulse approximation and under the assumption of a surface reaction mechanism. Single-particle and cluster aspects of nuclei are investigated on the basis of the many-particle approach.
