Abstract
At OAO Chelyabinskii Metallurgicheskii Kombinat, a production technology for high-quality, low-carbon, and low-silicon steel capable of deep extrusion (08У, 18УA, 08πc and similar steel) has been developed and introduced. Continuous-cast slabs are produced by means of the following system: an arc furnace, a ladle-furnace unit, and a continuous-casting machine. Appropriate engineering measured for the production of such steel slabs have been developed.
