Abstract
Anther culture technique was applied to the production of various aneuploid plants by using autopolyploids and androgenetic progenies from tetraploids. Various gametes not having exact multiples of the basic chromosome numbers were proved beyond doubt to differentiate into plants as well as into euhaploid or eupolyploid state of the gametes.
