Abstract
Production cross sections of C Λ 12 and Fe Λ 56 by the ( π +, K +) reaction are calculated in the Distorted Wave Impulse Approximation (DWIA) using the hypernuclear response function formalism with Skyrme-Hartree-Fock selfconsistent single-particle wave functions and energies. Continuum effects are included exactly by means of the Green's function method. The results are compared with experimental data from KEK.
