Abstract
Proctitis is the principle dose-limiting toxicity of radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer. SBRT could minimize rectal toxicity by reducing the volume of rectum receiving high radiation therapy doses and offers the potential radiobiologic benefits of hypofractionation. This study sought to evaluate the incidence and severity of proctitis following stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for prostate cancer.
