Abstract

The possibility of processing the phosphate-containing reverse osmosis retentates has been investigated. It was established that the use of NH4Cl: NH4OH mixture with 1: 4 ratio as a source of NH4 + ions and the use of magnesium chloride as a source of Mg2+ ions ensured the phosphate removal by 95.1–96.6% at the initial pH value of reaction medium equal to 10.5–11 and precipitator component ratio PO4 3–: NH4 +: Mg2+ = 1: 1: 2.
