Abstract

The objective of our study was to find out if there is a deficit in affective prosody perception in patients with primary focal dystonia and if such a potential impairment could be result from disturbed processing of valence or arousal dimension of emotional prosody. We investigated 10 patients with primary cervical dystonia (CD) and 8 healthy controls (HC), mean age CD –58.3 (10. 3), HC –57.0 (11.3) by means of event related brain potentials (ERP).
