Abstract

In this present study, we adopt conventional solid-state reaction techniques to obtain CaCu 3Ti 4O 12 (CCTO) ceramics and the dielectric properties of polycrystalline CCTO samples sintered at 1100 °C in the dwell time range from 3 to 48 h were investigated. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns show no obvious change in crystal phase with various sintering times. The SEM shows the grain size was significantly increased with an increase of sintering time. Besides, the dielectric properties of CCTO ceramics are very sensitive to processing. The effects of processing conditions on the microstructure and electrical properties of CCTO are also discussed.
