Abstract

The simulation of the phenomena of asphaltene particle coagulation and fragmentation in the bulk of petroleum and oil emulsion is considered. In particular, the collision rate was determined and the distribution function was constructed with the use of the Fokker-Planck equation. A model of the flow and filtration of structured oil in a porous medium with high concentrations of asphaltenes, tars, and paraffins is proposed. Models for the adsorption of asphaltenes on the surface of water drops in the course of oil emulsion separation are given.
