Abstract

Linux is a multi-user multi-tasking operating system. Process scheduling is the hardcore of this multi-tasking operating system. The characteristics of process scheduling of embedded Linux are analyzed. The real-time scheduling algorithm of embedded Linux is especially discussed and an instance of priority-driven scheduling algorithm is illustrated in detail. In this example, the problem of priority inversion in process scheduling is solved perfectly.
