Abstract

In this article the author presents on the process of working through of a patient treated with Dr. Davanloo's technique of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (IS-TDP). Clinical material from two psychotherapy sessions from the midphase of therapy will be presented to discuss some of the technical and metapsychological issues in the process of working through in IS-TDP. The role of process supervision in upgrading the therapist's technical skill and metapsychological knowledge will also be highlighted. Copyright © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
