Abstract
AbstractBesides experimentation process simulation is a key technology in process development. Process simulation supports design, analysis and operation of chemical processes and plants. A systematic use of process simulation and optimization in the process development workflow is beneficial for both the process model and experiments and enables to be more efficient and effective in process design. In the following it will be discussed how the application of process simulation and optimization has to be broadened to provide decision support for process development.
