Abstract

In recent years many organizations in both the public and the private sector have turned to an interactive type of decision making in which decisions are made in consultation with parties in the organizations’ environment. Terms used for this practice include ‘open decision making’, ‘interactive decision making’, ‘process management’, and ‘stakeholder management’ (this last concept is used primarily in the private sector as a complement to ‘shareholder management’). In this chapter we use the term process management to describe this type of decision making.KeywordsDecision MakingProcess ManagerDesign RequirementNegotiation ProcessProcess ApproachThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
