Abstract

Selective synthesis of different crystal types and crystal morphology of MnO2 nanomaterials by a simple redox reaction pathway, and their electrochemical properties were fully investigated in 3 M KOH. α-MnO2 nanowires were obtained by using the redox method, while the pulsed electromagnetic field-assisted redox method resulted in the formation of γ-MnO2 nanospheres. The electrode prepared by γ-MnO2 exhibits high good cycling stability with 105% retention after 6000 cycles. Under the same conditions, γ-MnO2 capacitor retention rate is 35% higher than α-MnO2.
