Abstract

Introducción Social integration is one of the most important phenomena in the field of education. Since its origin in the nineties, policies have been created in favor of the right to non-discrimination of people with disabilities. The importance of inclusion is to give solution to the needs of gender, ethnicity, age and social condition; inclusion processes are considered by taking into account all human beings regardless of their condition; on the other hand, inclusive education has adapted the systems and structures to make a harmonious process and achieve true inclusion. Objetivos To analyze the inclusive processes for the practice of physical activity of students with visual disability. Método The present case addresses inclusive processes during the practice of physical activity, whose methods were designed with a quasi-experimental methodology, a pre- or post-application study. The participants were 27 adolescent students with partial visual impairment. Principales resultados An intervention was applied for 4 months, with a series of physical activities adapted according to the physical and psychic capacities of the subjects, the statistical package SPSS version 24 was used for data analysis. Once the intervention program was carried out with the application of physical activities to improve self-esteem, significant results were obtained in the participants both in the indicators of self-esteem and in the inclusive aspects; the results could be observed in a mediated way, therefore, to the extent that a person with partial visual impairment can perform the practice of physical activities in an autonomous way thanks to the application of inclusive strategies and methodologies. Conclusiones Inclusion is currently a fundamental process in educational institutions, which together with their actors are responsible for providing a suitable environment with personalized teaching, according to the needs of each individual. In short, it is important to address the issues of inclusion and self-esteem in order to face and provide solutions to the various problems faced by people with disabilities in the practice of physical activities.
