Abstract

Session of Tuesday, December 29 The Society was called to order at 10 A. M. with President Calvin in the chair, and was cordially welcomed to Baltimore by Professor W. B. Clark in a few well chosen remarks, to which appropriate response was made by President Calvin. The report of the Council was called for, and was presented by the Secretary, in print, as follows: REPORT OF THE COUNCIL To the Geological Society of America, in Twenty-first Annual Meeting assembled: The regular annual meeting of the Council was held at Albuquerque, New Mexico, in connection with the meeting of the Society, December 30 and 31, 1907. There have been no special meetings during the year, but some business has been transacted by correspondence.
