Abstract

Session of Friday, December 27, 1918 The Thirty-first Annual Meeting of the Geological Society of America was held in the rooms of the Department of Geology, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday and Saturday, December 27 and 28, 1918, under the presidency of Doctor Whitman Cross, of the United States Geological Survey. The first general session of the Society was called to order by President Cross at 9.40 o’clock a. m., and the Secretary presented, in printed form, the report of the Council for the year ending November 30, 1918, as follows: REPORT OF THE COUNCIL To the Geological Society of America, in thirty-first annual meeting assembled: The regular annual meeting of the Council was held at St. Louis, Mo., in connection with the meeting of the Society, December 27–29, 1917.
