Abstract . Recent papers by the author have dealt with the effect of atmospheric drag on the orbit of an artificial satellite (A. J. 63, 81, 1958) and with a method for obtaining an approximate perturbed orbit with correct secular motions for an artificial satellite without atmospheric drag (A. J. 63, 28, 1958).
