Abstract

Welcome to the 4th ACM Workshop on Security and Privacy in Smartphones and Mobile Devices -- SPSM'14, held in association with the 21st ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS). SPSM was created to provide a platform for discussing new ideas in security and privacy issues in smartphones and mobile devices. This year, it attracted 29 submissions from 18 countries all over the world. The final program consists of 11 papers, including eight full papers and three short papers, covering various topics ranging from attacks, analysis, and new defense techniques. It is our honor to have Professor Peng Ning, who is heading the Samsung KNOX R&D, to give a keynote speech on the Samsung KNOX platform.
