Abstract

Welcome to the SCCG 2010 conference, May 13--15, 2010, in Budmerice castle, and to its conference proceedings! The aim of the Spring Conference on Computer Graphics (SCCG), i.e., the oldest regular annual meeting related to computer graphics in Central Europe, is to bring top experts in the field together with young researchers and students in computer graphics and to support a good communication channel for East--West exchange of prospective ideas in the field. Also this year, as for more than 10 years already, the conference is preceded by the international student seminar called Central European Seminar on Computer Graphics (CESCG). This year, SCCG received 37 submissions. The International Program Committee delivered 143 reviews in total, meaning that for almost all paper submissions four reviews were acquired. Due to many good to even excellent reviews --- one reviewer wrote "[...] I'm sure this year's conference will be one of the best SCCGs ever! The quality of the papers I reviewed was really high. [...]" ---, in total 21 papers could be included within the conference program. Topic-wise, this year's conference papers address the theory of computer graphics, animation, visualization (both InfoVis and SciVis), human-computer interaction, hardware and GPU aspects of modern computer graphics, global illumination, real-time computer graphics, image-based computer graphics, volumes in computer graphics/visualization, image processing, geometry, and applications of computer graphics (as well as other topics).
