Abstract
Welcome to the 20th International Conference on Evaluation and Assessment in Software Engineering (EASE2016). We are delighted to host the conference at the University of Limerick, and expect that the surroundings will support friendly, challenging academic discussion. This year marks a major milestone as we celebrate twenty years of EASE. Two decades have seen EASE grow to become the premier event for research in the field of Empirical Software Engineering and Evidence-Based Software Engineering. True to its roots we retain a workshop-like atmosphere, in which researchers present and discuss the latest results of their empirical and evaluation studies covering a wide range of topics in software engineering.
