Abstract

The 20th European conference on Pattern Languages of Programs (EuroPLoP) was held in the Bavarian Kloster Irsee, Germany from 8th-12th July 2015, where pattern authors and pattern enthusiasts met to discuss, explore and write patterns. This volume contains the post-conference-versions of the papers discussed in the Writers' Workshops at the conference. The domains of the papers cover software development, software architecture, management, pattern theory, education, human computer interaction, safety, and security. Software development patterns have always been the heart of EuroPLoP. However, over the past years, educational patterns and patterns on safety and security have become common for pattern publishing. EuroPLoP is a conference where academics and practitioners meet and bring together the best of these two worlds. Some authors are experts in their domain, but they sometimes lack experience in writing patterns. Therefore, at EuroPLoP a special type of coaching takes place: each paper is assigned to an experienced pattern author, so-called shepherd. The shepherd provides the author with tailor-made, constructive feedback on the paper prior to the conference. During the shepherding process the author revises the paper with the help of the shepherd.
