Abstract

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the 13th ACM International Conference on Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Wireless and Mobile Systems (MSWiM), held in 2010 in beautiful and historic Bodrum, Turkey. MSWiM has a tradition of introducing important and timely work, and we are confident that this year's program maintains those standards. In 2010, the call for papers attracted 132 submissions in all areas of mobile and wireless systems. The papers submitted came from 35 countries, and the accepted papers from 20, reflecting the international nature of MSWiM. The submissions included a large number of papers of very high quality making the selection process difficult and competitive. Each paper received three or more reviews from which we reached a decision. In the end, we selected 42 regular papers, plus an additional 9 papers recommended for the program as short papers. The MSWiM 2010 technical program also includes two distinguished keynote addresses, five workshops and symposia, two tutorials, and a poster session. Three regular papers will be selected as candidates for the best paper award at the conference and announced in the opening session. The winner among these three papers will be announced at the banquet, and will be reported in the proceedings of next year.
