Abstract

The current research aims primarily to identify the various issues related to the critical terminology and the educational efforts to mitigate them, by discussing the nature of critical terminology, its main functions, formulation mechanisms, and the multiple problems associated with it. This research also offers recommendations to overcome these issues. To achieve these objectives, a historical methodology is employed to analyze and interpret the problems of critical terminology, based on past experiences and predictions of future developments. The study concludes that there is chaos and ambiguity in the field of Arabic criticism, due to the lack of consensus on translating and transferring Arabic terminologies. Additionally, the translation of terminologies is afflicted with disruption and disorder resulting from language challenges and the neglect of proper methods for translation and formulation of terminologies, emphasizing the role of education through linguistic institutions, linguistic committees, and the efforts of Arab researchers in mitigating these problems related to critical terminology.
