Abstract
In the article the perception of college teachers regarding the problems of implementing the Pushkin Map program among students of vocational education organizations (VEO) in the Sverdlovsk region is presented. The topicality of the study is due to the need to identify barriers preventing the inclusion of students of VEO in the Pushkin Map program, and conditions that will allow students to fully use the opportunities to visit cultural institutions and events. The purpose of the article is to reveal the problems of involvement of students and their teachers in the implementation of the Pushkin Map program. The empirical basis of the article was formed by the documents’ analysis, a survey where the students were involved as well as the interviews with the teachers of VEO of the Sverdlovsk region (2023). The authors conclude that the Pushkin Map program does have a potential as a factor stipulating no only the growth of cultural level growth of college students, but as a factor of academic performance improvement in general. The key barriers to the implementation of the program are lack of interest to the program from both students and teachers, technical difficulties, as well as poor information campaigns. At the same time, the willingness of teachers to be involved in the promotion of the program was revealed, under conditions of favorable institutionall conditions.
